The national shortage of dairy replacement heifers is beginning to bear out more distinctly in heifer prices. Holstein springers gained significant ground over the past month in all reported markets, fetching values as high as $2,800/head in Pipestone, Minn. And beef cross calves remain the runaway market story, garnering near or over tops of $1,000/head nationwide.
