Monday markets were mixed as Butter continues to find buyers at $3.30+ prices and Cheese bounces. Spot butter gained back 4 cents to $3.34/lb, continuing it's record high spot price. Cheddar Barrels tagged along, gaining back 6 ¼ cents to $1.54 1/4/lb with Blocks unchanged, holding at $1.72/lb. Dry Whey was our only soft market, sliding ¾ of a cent to $0.28 1/4/lb with Grade A Non Fat Dry Milk unchanged at $1.18 1/2/lb.
Class III milk saw small gains nearby. September gained a penny to $18.39/cwt, October up 13 to $17.01/lb and November up 11 cents to $17.28/cwt. Class IV milk continued its strong march higher. October gained 20 cents to $21.00, November also gained 20 to $20.50 and December held at $19.69/cwt.
Grain markets found some life after a Friday sell off. Corn followed strength in Wheat and gained 12 cents to $4.88 3/4/bu, with Sobyeans up 2 cents to $12.77/bu with Soybean meal falling to fresh lows in recent weeks at $374.30/ton, down $6.90.
