Milk Prices Finish the Week Strong

Green returned to milk markets Friday as we finish the week on a strong note in a highly volatile market. Spot cheese had Cheddar blocks bouncing back 2 ½ cents after the Thrusday breather to $1.53 per lb with Barrels following with 2 ½ cents to $1.57 1/4. Gaining nearly 10 cents over the last week. Butter too bounced back after a small sell off on Thursday, finishing the week up 2 ¾ cents on Friday ato $2.92/lb. The Dry powders could not follow along, Dry whey down ¼ of a cent to $0.36/lb and Grade A Non Fat Dry milk down ¾ of a cent to $1.14 1/4.


Class III milk rebounded along with cheese. April gained a penny to $15.41, with May up 37 cents to $16.39, and June up 24 cents to $16.77/cwt.


Class IV milk was unchanged in April and May at $20.06 and $20.20 with June slipping 10 cents to $20.40/cwt.
