COVID-19 Coverage: Government Says Ag is Critical

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued guidance outlining "critical" industries in the COVID-19 pandemic response. Agriculture was included in the list, recognizing the need for the industry to be exempt from some restrictions designed to minimize spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, farm groups continue to press the White House and Congress for assistance on ag labor.
