Milk flowing strongly again from US dairy

The United States dairy herd has grown to its largest in 30 years and will expand further with 100,000 heifers about to be added.
Rabobank’s latest monthly analysis said June 2026’s US milk production continued to outpace last year’s, rising 2.3% year on year, with a further increase likely due to herd expansion.
Rabobank senior analyst Emma Higgins said in June the US dairy herd numbered 9.677 million cows, up 19,000 from May and 192,000 more than in June 2025.
