Whole milk anticipated impact

The Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act was finally passed by both the House and Senate and was signed by President Trump in mid-January. For the past 10 years, only skim and 1% fat milk were allowed to be served in schools, but the act will allow higher fat milk — which consumers strongly prefer — to be served. My calculations suggest that about 77% of the milk served outside of schools in 2024 was 2% fat or whole milk.
