Whole Milk Sales Rebound in 2019

Milk sales across all categories have struggled over the past decade. However, in 2019, refrigerated whole milk gained momentum. In fact, the subcategory was the only one to experience positive growth: up 2.7% in dollar sales (to $4,898.2 million) and 0.5% in unit sales (to 1,703.8 million), according to DairyFoods.com.
Data from IRI, a Chicago-based market research firm, shows four brands even posted double-digit gains.
-Cream O Land Dairy increased 122.4% in dollar sales and 117.5% in unit sales.
-Fairlife increased 32.1% in dollar sales and 31.6% in unit sales.
-Hood Lactaid increased 11.6% in dollar sales and 9.5% in unit sales.
-Danone increased 10.8% in dollar sales and 8.1% in unit sales.
